HISTORY

Envy was one of the Children of the Fractured Spectrum, a disciple serving Starbreaker from the ominous Castle of the Desolate Stone. Her identity and history prior to assuming the name of Envy are unknown. Alongside Starbreaker, the Children of the Fractured Spectrum traveled to Gemworld, where they clashed with Amethyst, Star Sapphire, and members of the Green Lantern Corps. Their objective was to seize the precious crystals required to construct a new Central Power Battery.

Following their successful return to the Castle of the Desolate Stone, Starbreaker activated the Central Power Battery, successfully stripping the universe of all emotion. This left Envy and the other Children of the Fractured Spectrum adrift. Though Starbreaker allowed them to live for the time being, the triumph was short-lived. Deprived of the very sorrow that fueled him, the Nathan Broome, the entity known as Sorrow, turned against his master and destroyed the Battery. Envy was likely a casualty of the massive explosion that followed.
