The JSA has been scattered in Kahndaq, and have to battle not only Black Adam's metahuman allies but the peoples of Kahndaq and Feithera. The people's hatred of the JSA is very evident, and the heroes are hampered further when Nabu traps Doctor Fate inside his amulet, joining Black Adam's side. With the heroes of the Justice Society on the defensive, Black Adam forces Captain Marvel to return to his Captain Marvel form and Nemesis injures Hourman terribly. He activates the controls on his costume and disappears. His father, the original Hourman, takes his place.
