HISTORY

Jonathan Vincent Horne became president when Pete Ross stepped out of the race. On his first day of work he was confronted by Nemesis, in the Oval Office, giving him some "advice," basically making him aware that he is just a figurehead, there to allow the real powers to do their jobs...

Early in his tenure, Horne was approached by the Justice League who briefed him on covert South American nations using metahumans to suppress dissent. Although initially held up by the UN, Horne supported the League's independent intervention, coordinating with Aquaman and Martian Manhunter to navigate the diplomatic fallout.

A major crisis during Horne's presidency unfolded when the Amazons launched a full-scale assault on Washington, D.C., beginning with a direct attack on the White House. After being rescued from an assassination attempt by Black Lightning, he was brought to Air Force One. However, the situation escalated further when Supergirl and Wonder Girl attempted to divert Air Force One for peace talks, only for Amazons to attack and bring the plane down. Supergirl managed to lessen the impact, but Horne was still seriously injured in the crash, and brought to the hospital by Superman.

Another major challenge during the final part of Horne's term involved integrating surviving Kryptonians into Earth society, and addressing the controversial New Krypton settlement.
