Synopsis: - Kara Zor-El fights her cousin at Darkseid's command while Wonder Woman calls the Female Furies' bluff, forcing them to release both her and Barda. Batman, meanwhile, activates an armoury of powerful Apokoliptian explosives and tells Darkseid that he will not de-activate them unless Kara is returned to Earth. Darkseid is forced to agree and once Superman has subdued Kara, she is brought back to Earth - when Batman de-activates the weapons, Darkseid promises never to move against Kara. Back on Earth, Kara is released from Darkseid's hold and decides to take up the mantle of Supergirl. After grieving for her friend Harbinger, Superman brings her to meet his parents, but when they arrive in Smallville, they are greeted by Darkseid. He had made no promise to leave Superman alone, and launches his omega beams at him. However, Supergirl leaps into their path to save her cousin and is dissolved into dust, leaving Superman in tears.
