OVERVIEW
Originally an ally of Sonar, Throttle has frequently appeared with his partner-in-crime, Blindside.
HISTORY
Nothing has been revealed regarding the origin of the criminal named Throttle. He received his formidable powers presumably in a similar event as that of his partner in crime, Blindside. The pair had done quite well for themselves but sought further strength. They broke Sonar out of jail with the offer to join forces.[1] However, their first battle with Sonar leading the against Green Lanterns John Stewart and Katma Tui was a defeat.[2]
Rogue Green Lantern Guy Gardner broke Sonar out of prison, bringing Throttle and Blindside at Sonar's request. The villains were given a choice; to take part in a mission into the antimatter universe or die.[3] This was unsuccessful, which was fortunate for all involved as the ill-fated mission would have destroyed reality.[4]
Following their return to Earth, Throttle and Blindside began to chafe under Sonar's leadership. The trio were approached by Doctor Polaris who wished an alliance to counter the newly established Green Lantern Corps of Earth.[5] Once more, the villains were defeated.[6]
The next sighting of Throttle was years later, still partnered with Blindside, and joined with Whiteout, one of Doctor Polaris' allies. The trio were hired by the Culver Boulevard '68, a criminal gang, to kidnap Rita Covas[7] but were beaten by Gangbuster. Throttle nor his partners in crime have not been seen since.[8]
POWERS AND WEAPONS
Throttle can increase the kinetic energy of an object, frequently using the object as a projectile.
