OVERVIEW
The Voice was a crime-fighting mystery-man during the 1940s.
HISTORY
Born in 1794, as a young child, the man later known as Elixir was shipwrecked on a South Seas island with his parents. Discovering certain herbs and spices that lengthed his life, he was discovered in 1940 after nearly 150 years on the island.
Returning to civilization (very well adjusted, also), he set about trying to rediscover the mixture of herbs that invigorated him over the years. Meeting a young man who shared the rooming house named Fogarty, he rediscovered the mix and set about fighting crime aided at first by Fogarty, then a young bellhop named Tommy.
The Voice had no more public adventures after about six months of his first appearance, so it is not known if he ran out of herbs or he simply retired.
POWERS AND WEAPONS
The Voice was a master of hypnotism and ventriloquism, and used a small radio transmitter to contact the police.
He was also very strong and fast when first imbibing his mixture, able to lift several hundred pounds for a short period of time.
