HISTORY

Although much of Warp Wrap's history remains unknown, his Black Lantern counterpart made a specific claim against Larfleeze. According to the entity, at some point lost to history, Larfleeze "took my treasures buried next to me."[1] This would presumably have prior to Warp Wrap's death at the hands of Larfleeze resulting in War Wrap's essence being absorbed into the Orange Lantern Corps.[2]

Warp Wrap was frequently utilized by Larfleeze as an Orange Lantern energy construct. This replica of Warp Wrap was a prominent member of the Orange Lantern Corps during their assault on the planet Odym, where they attempted to seize the Central Power Battery of the Blue Lantern Corps.

Sometime later, Sena the Wanderer restored the original beings upon whom seven of Larfleeze’s constructs, including Warp Wrap, were based. Sena presented the resurrected group with a clear bargain; they could remain among the living only if they succeeded in killing Larfleeze.[3]

Now operating as independent Orange Lanterns armed with their own power rings, the group sought vengeance, yet they hesitated to eliminate Larfleeze directly. They recognized that he had absorbed the energy of his entire Central Power Battery. Thinking practically, Warp Wrap proposed that they needed to keep Larfleeze alive to maintain their own power rings, an idea the others accepted, deciding on enslavement and torture instead of death.[4]

Their plans quickly backfired when Larfleeze, realizing that he had technically created their new rings, demonstrated that he could easily reclaim them. Rather than killing these vulnerable adversaries, Larfleeze simply stranded the powerless and seemingly helpless group on Unicorn 12. Despite their desperate situation, Warp Wrap promised to continue seeking vengeance.[5]

BLACK LANTERN: WARP WRAP

During the event known as the Blackest Night, black rings descended on Okaara, Warp Wrap returned as one of the Black Lantern Corps. Intent on destroying Larfleeze's orange Central Power Battery, the Black Lanterns were held at bay by Red Lantern Atrocitus and Blue Lantern Saint Walker.[6]
